Dr. Riva Kamat is a board certified pediatrician who practices pediatric hospital medicine. She is a pediatric inpatient hospitalist at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children in Falls Church, Virginia. In addition, she consults and advises law firms on medical malpractice cases involving pediatric and adolescent medicine. A long standing member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is the past president of the Northern Virginia Pediatric Society. Working in inner city clinics in Pittsburgh and as an outpatient pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente has given her a wide range of clinical pediatrics.

Dr. Elizabeth Kwo worked in medical device marketing, sales, and operations while working for Medtronic in Europe and the US. She developed optimal sales strategies, re-organized supply chain inventory in Europe for Surgical Technologies, and analyzed business models for new products coming through the pipeline in Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management. At Third Rock Ventures, she analyzed medical device industry trends and worked on due diligence deals for medical device and biotechnology platform companies. Additionally, Dr.Kwo has been a consultant to many health companies including Freeslate, a growing company in automated high throughput screening tools for drug development, and American Well, a company charting the industry for telemedicine.

Dr. Kwo has published papers in peer-reviewed journals involving topics such as care delivery for patients with dementia and the influence of branding drugs for physician prescribing behavior. She has worked in nursing homes and adult day healthcare business models – she continues to pursue her Geriatric interests after gaining knowledge in senior care coordination during a Fulbright Fellowship in Taiwan.

Dr. Kwo currently works at Cambridge Health Alliance as an Internal Medicine Resident. She holds a MD from Harvard Medical School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from Stanford University in Human Biology.

Marc Lanzkowsky began his career as a Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney in New York, where he represented physicians and hospitals against claims or negligence. After seven years, Marc became a Medical Malpractice Claims Adjuster at Zurich Insurance Company. Managing a caseload of physician, hospital and nursing liability claims, he was part of a black belt team that helped improve claims department operations. With his promotion to Northeast Regional Manager for Healthcare Medical Malpractice Claims, Marc was responsible for over 1,900 professional liability claims and more than $250 million in outstanding reserves. Following his success at Zurich, Marc was recruited to help build a specialty claims organization, including the management of Medical Malpractice claims, as Vice President (and, later, Senior Vice President) of Home Office Claims Management for Arch Insurance Company. At Arch he was responsible for developing and managing the overall operational processes and controls for the claims department.

In his consulting practice, Marc has worked with organizations to help improve their claims operations and processes. Marc has had numerous engagements by Medical Malpractice providers and has audited a major hospital self-insured physician and hospital malpractice program advising on appropriate claim practices and reserves.

In addition to his work at Lanzko, Marc serves as a member of the Board of Directors for IncentOne, a provider to the healthcare industry of technology designed to help lower the overall costs of healthcare in this country through integrated incentive solutions. Marc is the Editor and Publisher of The Claims SPOT, an industry blog on Claims, which is the featured blog for CLAIMS Magazine and was named one of the Top Insurance Blogs by Lexis/Nexis.

Jacqueline Cohen is a graduate of New York University where she received a Masters in Drama Therapy. She has been an educator in both the private and public sector since 1996. In addition to being a co-founder of Relational Impact Medicine, she has consulted for "Beyond Borders" a United Nations NGO that focused on conflict resolution and human rights.

Jacqueline continues to work privately with clients employing Drama Therapy, Narrative techniques and Relational Therapy.
